thesalescenter.org manifesto

With the mass reach of the Internet and the globalization of commerce companies must find new ways to survive and grow. There are three fundamental principles that emerge from this truth:

  1. Consumers are finding more options and choices today than ever before. As time moves forward choice expands.
  2. The market is flooded with advertising messages. The average person is touched by 3,000 ads per day.
  3. Consumers are much more informed today. Online reviews can make any consumer an instant expert.

Salespeople that want to stay at the top of their game must continue to grow and learn and accept the fact that what we did 20 years ago may not work the same way today. Technology has changed everything.

Today a woman with a computer in a one bedroom apartment in Asia can look and feel just like a Fortune 1000 company, with an 800 number, a U.S. postal address and a professionally designed web presence.

The world is changing; business is changing; sales is changing. We face a time of unparalleled opportunity and we must work to stay ahead of these changes. It is for this reason that we bring thesalescenter.org to life. There is a limitless supply of information spread about the internet, but how do we know what is valuable and what isn’t? We have sifted through the vast amounts of noise to produce a quantifiable signal.

thesalescenter.org will equip salespeople with the knowledge, tools, techniques and mind sets to succeed. We have a collection of content from the best sales trainers in the world to help you learn and grow. You choose how much or how little you need. We simply provide a forum to share experiences.

Everything we stand for and everything we hope to achieve is hinged on creating a bi-directional atmosphere where learning and teaching are open at both ends. On a daily basis (Monday - Friday) we will be posting content from the top names in sales. We are asking that you comment on these posts. If you don’t agree with something that is said don’t be afraid to say so. But at the same time if something hits home please don’t shy away from sharing your success.

We hope to hear from you soon. Please help us make this the most valuable resource it can be. Provide feedback and suggestions and if you like what you see please tell your friends.

Godspeed and good selling.
